Fate The Winx Saga | Season 3 Episode 6 | Kingdom and a Child (4)

ALFEA

A few days later...

It was another day at Alfea, as normal as it could get after all that had happened. It had been a week since Bloom had destroyed the last codex, ensuring everyone's safety. The school was still recovering, but classes had resumed, bringing a sense of routine back to the students. However, today was different—there was an unmistakable sense of unease in the air. Everyone was preparing for something, though most weren't quite sure what.

Bloom stood outside the greenhouse, anxiously waiting for Terra. She was shivering slightly, her feet tapping the ground as she paced back and forth. The tension was palpable, and every second felt like an eternity. Finally, Terra emerged.

"It's ready," Terra said, her voice steady as she gestured for Bloom to come inside.

Professor Harvey stood in the middle of the greenhouse, holding a small vial filled with a shimmering potion. This was what they had been working on—the potion that would cure Bloom's mother and remove Valtor's mark from her, allowing her to be herself again. Since the last battle, no one had heard from Queen Marion. She had retreated to the Frozen Forest, the only place she felt safe. With the remaining codex in her possession, Marion still had the power to keep the Frozen Forest strong and protected.

"Are you ready?" Sky's voice cut through Bloom's thoughts as he joined her near the Alfea fairy hall gate.

"As ready as I'll ever be," Bloom replied, her voice wavering slightly, but she managed a determined nod.

"Don't worry, you can do this," Sky reassured her, just as Principal Avalon and Silva approached.

"Let's go, then," Silva said, his tone firm, but supportive.

"Where's Isobel?" Sky asked, glancing around.

"Here," Stella called out as she appeared from behind, accompanied by Isobel and Brandon.

"Okay, then. Let's do this," Bloom said, steeling herself as they began to create a portal to the Frozen Forest.

Isobel had agreed to help them reach the castle. Her winter snow powers made her the perfect guide through the treacherous landscape of the Frozen Forest. As they stepped through the portal, they reached the frozen forest , the freezing air hit them, but Isobel led the way, her presence a beacon of warmth in the icy wilderness.

Though only Bloom was visible, she was far from alone. All the professors, the Headmaster of Alfea, and even Queen Luna with some of her army, were there too. They used light magic to stay invisible, ready to protect Bloom at a moment's notice. The threat Queen Marion posed to the Otherworld was real, and they all came prepared for whatever might happen. Bloom was determined to use the cure on her mother and bring her back. Queen Luna and everyone else was staying invisible as a precautionary measure, in case something goes wrong.

Sky carried the potion, carefully guarding it as they made their way toward the castle. This was their only chance to save Bloom's mother, and failure wasn't an option.

As they approached the castle, the air grew even colder, the atmosphere thick with anticipation. This was it—the moment they had all been waiting for.

Bloom entered the castle, appearing to be alone. The cold, empty halls echoed with each step she took, the silence almost deafening. But she knew she wasn't truly alone. Hidden in the shadows, her allies were there, ready to act if anything went wrong. As she reached the main hall, her breath caught in her throat. There, standing in the dim light, was her mother—just as she had seen her when they first met in the Realm of Darkness.

"Mom," Bloom called out, her voice trembling slightly, echoing the exact tone she had used back then.

"Finally," Marion replied, turning slowly to face her daughter, a sly smile playing on her lips. "Took you long enough."

Bloom stood her ground, trying to project confidence. "I'm not your minion anymore. I don't have Valtor's mark."

"Oh, I know," Marion said, her tone almost amused. "So, tell me, Bloom, why are you here?"

Bloom's heart raced, but she forced herself to stay calm. She needed to buy time for Sky to slip the potion to Marion. "I want to know the truth," she said, carefully choosing her words.

Marion raised an eyebrow, curiosity flickering in her eyes. "Truth about what, exactly?"

"About what you told me the last time we met," Bloom replied, trying to keep her voice steady. "About Oritel not being my father. Were you just saying that to distract me?"

Marion's smile widened, a hint of something dark lurking behind it. "Oh no, I would never lie about that. That much is very true—Oritel most definitely was not your father."

Bloom felt a knot tighten in her stomach. She had hoped Marion had been lying, but now, hearing it again, she felt a wave of dread wash over her. "Then who is?" she asked, her voice barely a whisper.

"I'm surprised you haven't figured it out yet, to be honest," Marion said, her voice cold and almost mocking. "It's Valtor."

The words hit Bloom like a physical blow. It felt as if the ground beneath her had disappeared, leaving her suspended in a void. Her mind raced, trying to process the impossible revelation. "What? How is that—" Bloom started, but the words stuck in her throat.

Marion's expression softened slightly, as if enjoying Bloom's shock. "Valtor and I... we were close, we loved each other, once. Before everything changed."

Bloom's heart pounded in her chest, her mind spinning with questions and emotions she couldn't control. She wanted to scream, to deny everything, but the truth was staring her in the face, undeniable and terrifying. Just then, she noticed Marion reaching for her drink—the drink Sky had spiked with the potion.

Bloom held her breath, waiting, hoping that this nightmare would soon be over. She couldn't let herself think about what Marion had just said—not yet. Right now, all that mattered was saving her mother. Marion drank the potion, It didn't work at the moment but Bloom thought maybe it will just take time.

Bloom knew she had to keep Marion distracted so potion could work on her.

"How is that possible?" Bloom's voice trembled with disbelief.

"Oh, it's quite simple," Marion said, her tone almost casual. "We were in love, but I had to give that up to save my kingdom. I was pregnant with you, but I couldn't tell anyone that you were Valtor's daughter. Oritel eventually found out. He was furious at first but came to terms with it. However, when Valtor discovered the truth, he was outraged. My parents and Oritel wouldn't let him see you, and he became desperate. He wanted to prove to them that Winter Snow Keepers were not weak. In his quest for power, he became the very monster he feared."

Bloom's heart sank with each word, her mind struggling to process the horror of Marion's confession.

"Valtor lost control," Marion continued, her voice growing colder. "I severed all ties with him, and my feelings vanished. That's when he created the spell—the Valtor's mark—so we could be together forever. When the old me, the good Marion, locked herself in the Realm of Darkness, it wasn't just because of the Burned Ones. It was also to escape the greatest monster she had ever created—Valtor. Do you understand now? Do you understand what happened a thousand years ago and how It all leads back to you. The first Dominion was fought over you. Valtor wanted you, and that's where it all began. It was all because of you. He lost sense of that along the way, his winter snow powers took the best of him and froze his heart, that's when I realized my parents were right, winter snow keepers could never be rulers, they can lose control too easily, it wasn't fair but it was the unfortunate truth"

Bloom's head spun with the weight of Marion's words. The truth about her family was more than she could bear. "I don't... I don't believe you," she said, her voice cracking under the strain.

"Pretend all you want," Marion said, her voice cutting through Bloom's denial. "But deep down, we both know I'm not lying."

Marion stepped closer, her eyes glinting with a mix of desperation and hope. "The only reason I'm telling you all this is because I want you to join me, Bloom. Together, we can bring back your father and become a family again. It's what he always wanted—before his insatiable hunger for power took over, of course. When my parents refused to let me marry Valtor, he became obsessed with ruling the world. He wanted to prove that a Winter Snow Keeper could be the most powerful fairy ever, capable of ruling over everyone."

Bloom's world was collapsing around her, the revelation shaking her to her core. The weight of her mother's words, the history of her family, and the terrible truth about Valtor all collided in her mind. She felt lost, caught between the desire to believe in a future with her family and the overwhelming horror of the past.

As Marion's words echoed in her ears, Bloom struggled to reconcile the truth with the painful reality of her own existence.

"I will never join you!" Bloom's voice was filled with defiance and anger.

"Suit yourself," Marion replied coolly, unfazed by Bloom's outburst.

The potion still hadn't worked, which meant it failed, Bloom realized she had to shift to a plan B. With a determined look, Bloom's eyes flared red, and fire began to erupt from her body, she wanted to make Marion unconscious and trap her in Solaria Prison until they find a cure.

"Oh, so we're doing this now? Fine, bring it on," Marion said, her tone taunting.

Bloom unleashed a powerful blast of fire towards Marion. But to her shock, Marion effortlessly deflected the attack. Bloom's frustration mounted as she transformed, her wings bursting into view, granting her a surge of power. She channelled all her energy into another assault. This time, however, something unexpected happened. Instead of dodging, Marion stood still and absorbed the attack.

Bloom's eyes widened in horror as she realized Marion was using a device to capture the Dragon Flame.

"Finally! I have everything I need!" Marion exclaimed triumphantly.

In an instant, Marion fired a counterattack at Bloom, and she felt her strength drain away. "What the hell did you just do?" Bloom demanded weakly.

"I've just extracted a part of the Dragon Flame from you, of course," Marion said with a satisfied smirk. With a snap of her fingers, the Codex appeared around her, encased in a protective shield. The shield was impenetrable, leaving Bloom and her allies helpless.

"What the hell? How is this possible?" Bloom's voice trembled with shock and disbelief as she looked at all the five Codex volumes now visible around Marion. Marion had them all!

The shield glowed ominously, and Marion's triumph was palpable. Bloom could only watch in despair as Marion prepared for whatever came next.

Marion had already secured the fifth Codex from the Underworld. To mislead Bloom and her allies, she had placed an illusion—a fake Codex—making them believe that the Codex had been destroyed. The ruse worked perfectly, ensuring that Bloom and the others thought they had completed their mission. In reality, Marion had all the Codix's and needed the Dragon Flame to activate them and resurrect Valtor.

Marion's own Dragon Flame was tainted by Valtor's mark, making it unusable. So, she had waited for Bloom to arrive, intending to use her powers to activate the Codex's. And now, with Bloom's Dragon Flame extracted, Marion had everything she needed.

As Marion's plan unfolded, Queen Luna and the others revealed themselves, they were now visible, hoping to stop Marion from completing her dark ritual. They attacked with everything they had, but it was futile. The shield surrounding Marion, powered by the Codex's, was impenetrable. Bloom was paralyzed with shock and disbelief, her worst fears coming true. They had thought they had won, but now it seemed they had lost everything.

Then, the moment everyone dreaded happened.

Valtor emerged from the shadows, surrounded by a pulsating magic glow. He stood up, his eyes glowing with ancient power, stretching after being trapped by Rosalind in a forgotten kingdom for over eighteen years. And now, finally, he was back.

Attempts to attack Valtor were in vain. With the combined powers of all the Codex's, he and Marion were unstoppable. Queen Luna stepped forward, her voice resolute. "By order of the Solarian Queen, you are under arrest. Put your hands behind your back and cooperate."

Valtor's gaze met Luna's. "Solarian Queen?" he sneered, recognizing her as the one who had helped banish him. Without hesitation, he extended his hand, unleashing a powerful attack that struck Queen Luna. But she managed to get up and counterattack Valtor with a potion. "What the hell did you just do", Marion asked harshly. "I spelled him, you really thought I didn't have a plan B?", Queen Luna said proudly. This is why she had captured Isobel once, so she could learn weaknesses of Winter Snow keepers and with the latest technology of Otherworld she was able to do that and create a counter potion to fight them, this counter potion was made in such a way that whenever its used on a winter snow keeper, it reacts with their powers and amplifies them, but it amplifies it so much to a limit that the person freezes and becomes a statue forever in a few hours. She told all this to Valtor. Stella and everyone else was very proud but Valtor was FURIOUS. He yelled and unleashed an extremely strong attack that hit Queen Luna. She fell to the floor, lifeless, along with three of her guards. Valtor Killed Queen Luna!

"Mom!" Stella's heart shattered into a million pieces. She rushed to her mother's fallen body, grief overtaking her.

"Everyone, get out of here!" Bloom commanded, opening several portals to ensure their escape. The remaining survivors fled as quickly as possible. "But the fun's only just begun," Valtor declared, unleashing a devastating spell that annihilated everyone who remained. Thankfully, most had heeded Bloom's orders and escaped.

Despite the intense sorrow and fear, Bloom and her friends had no choice but to leave. Stella, heartbroken and anguished, followed Bloom through the portal. It was a harrowing moment, but she knew that leaving was the only option to survive and regroup. The potion that Luna had use don Valtor was enough to defeat him but it would take some hours to work. Now, everyone was scared of what Valtor might do in those hours because his powers will keep on getting amplified but in a few hours, they will be the ones to kill him unless he finds a way out of it. After all, There's always a loophole to every magic.
