Fate The Winx Saga | Season 3 Episode 4 | Mind Games (3)

ALFEA

Stella, Musa, Sky, and Riven were now back at Alfea. They met at the canteen after searching the whole school for Beatrix. It was now the next morning; the night of the masked party had passed, and it was early in the morning.

"I don't care; we have to find Beatrix. She's all alone there. She doesn't have the power to face all those shadow monsters herself. She needs our help," Stella said.

"You're right, but we've looked everywhere. She's not at Alfea anymore, Stella. She's gone," Musa replied.

"Then she must have gone to the Frozen Forest. That's where the shadow is, isn't it?" Stella said.

Suddenly, the girls heard whispers, which isn't an abnormal thing, but this time Stella heard her mom's name in those whispers of students. They were gossiping about a video that Queen Luna had recently released. Stella asked the freshies what they were talking about, and they showed her the video. It was of Queen Luna, and she was addressing the public of Solaria.

"My dear civilians, it is with a heavy heart that I must unveil the truth to you all. As you may have all felt, a cold breeze blowing through Solaria in the last few days. Unfortunately, the horrors of winter might return. The shadow from the First Dominion has somehow returned, and so has Ogron, who was a friend of Valtor, the most feared villain in the Otherworld. They have somehow returned and are now residing, hiding, and gaining strength in the forest just outside Solaria, which used to be beautiful, but now winter has taken over that area. The trees have all died, and the shadow and Ogron are now staying there in the Frozen Forest. No fairy can enter because if one does, they will meet with the fate of death. The shadow has a whole shadow army guarding every entrance to the forest. But fear not, we have been working and gaining strength ourselves as well. It is time we will take down Ogron today at Melody. I'm informing you all of this so you can be prepared for what's about to come. We don't know what will happen next, but you all deserve to know the truth. Be prepared!" The Queen said in her speech.

Stella knew something was up. Her mom wouldn't just announce any of this without having a different motive in mind.

"So that's why Queen Luna wanted to find Isobel, to learn about her weaknesses so she can beat the shadow and Ogron," Sky said.

"How do you know about Isobel?" Stella asked.

"Aisha filled me in," Sky replied.

"So I guess your mom's going against Ogron today," Musa said.

"Yeah, she's playing with fire. I just hope she knows how to win," Stella said with a bit of worry.

"Guys! You're back," Aisha came; she looked like she was in a rush.

"Aisha, what's wrong? What happened?" Stella asked, she could see how tense Aisha was.

"Flora, she... Just come to the greenhouse, now!" Aisha said. She didn't know how to explain Flora's condition and how she was about to die. They all rushed to the Greenhouse immediately after seeing how worried Aisha was looking.

MELODY

Ogron was already at Melody. He had frozen dozens of people, and everyone was running away from him as he walked across the road. Everyone was terrified. Queen Luna's message had spread fast across all the realms, and most people knew of Ogron's return. Suddenly, Ogron turned to a young man and threatened to freeze him if he didn't reveal the location of the Codex. So the man told him.

It was at the Melodian Castle.

Ogron made his way to the castle, freezing all the guards as he entered. He expected to find the Melodian king and queen there, but instead, Queen Luna was standing in front of him with a dozen guards.

"Oh, Queen Luna, you made quite the speech earlier. Yes, that's right, I knew what you were planning. Did you really think your little research on Isobel would be enough to take me down?" Ogron said.

"I suppose we'll have to see now, won't we? Guards..." The Queen ordered the guards, and they started fighting Ogron.

It wasn't a long battle. Ogron fought well and fast, freezing almost all of them. He used different tricks on them all, freezing all the water in a guard's body and killing him. He froze the liquid in another guard's eyes. A few other guards were so terrified of him that they ran. Then he unleashed his most powerful spell on Queen Luna. He intended to turn her into a statue, but once the spell hit her, it didn't work. It just went through her. She wasn't actually there; she was using her light magic to create an illusion. This didn't bother Ogron, though. He had defeated all of Queen Luna's guards and the castle guards. He used another guard to get knowledge of the exact location of the Codex, and the guard showed him and took him to it in exchange for Ogron not freezing him, though Ogron did not keep his promise and froze the guard anyway.

There it was, finally! The Codex of Melody. The second-last piece of the puzzle.

MELODY

Bloom and Andy also made it to Melody. They heard all the commotion coming from the castle, so they went there. Apparently, Andy said he knew the location of the Codex and that it's in the castle. However, as they reached the castle, Andy said, "I'm gonna be right back."

"Wait, what? Where are you going?" Bloom asked.

"Don't worry, just trust me. The Codex is in the castle," he said and left. Bloom went inside.

Ogron was holding the Codex of Melody. Bloom saw this and was about to come forward when something happened that made her stay hidden. The Codex started glowing and was doing something to Ogron. He started yelling. His hand was melting off of his body. Then suddenly, Queen Luna appeared out of nowhere.

Bloom hid in a corner, watching all this unfold.

"I suppose I did learn enough from Isobel about your disgusting powers," Queen Luna said.

Ogron couldn't move from his place; he was stuck, and he couldn't move his hand either. It kept melting off, and the Codex was doing it, but it was now stuck to his body and couldn't come off.

"What did you do?" Ogron said.

"I found your weakness, of course. We tested every power that Isobel had and everything that weakens her. And thanks to my successful companions in Lynphea, we made a potion to weaken, no, let me correct myself here, we made a potion to kill and melt off the winter fairies like you. And we placed it in that fake Codex. And would you look at that, it works," the Queen said.

"You will pay for this," Ogron said as he took his final breath and melted away into a pile of dust.

News of this spread fast throughout Solaria and the Otherworld. Queen Luna was now considered a hero for saving everyone from Ogron. Bloom was still in the corner watching all this when suddenly Andy came from behind.

"What the hell just happened, Bloom?" he said, already knowing the answer.

"Ogron met his fate, that's all. That's what you get if you're not careful," Bloom said.

"But... but I thought you two were working together," he said.

"We are, why?" Bloom replied.

"You just stood there and did nothing while he got killed?" Andy said.

"Yeah, so?" Bloom replied.

Suddenly, Andy saw the Valtor's mark around Bloom's neck.

"I have to go," he said.

"Wait, what? I thought you were gonna help me get the Melodian Codex," Bloom said.

Andy's face was full of disappointment for some reason. He went away, but before doing so, he told her the real location of the Codex—it was in the basement of the castle. And he told her that he already took care of the guards for her, just like he did with the Alfean ones. He was disappointed in Bloom's actions for some reason and just wanted to get out of there.

Bloom was curious as to why he left or why he was with her in the first place, but right now, what was more important to her was the Codex. So she went to the basement, and apparently, Andy was telling the truth—the Codex was there.

Four Codex were now in Bloom's hands. Just one more left to free Valtor.

Bloom went back to the Frozen Forest to give her mom and the Shadow the Melodian Codex and Alfean Codex.

SOLARIA

There was a party going on at the Solaria palace. Queen Luna, along with some other higher members from other realms, were all gathered at a table enjoying a feast. The other guests were seated at tables as well, with a separate area designated for dancing. This party was being held to celebrate Queen Luna defeating Ogron. Stella was also invited to this party.

Just as Queen Luna was about to take a sip of her drink, she saw her daughter, Stella, coming through the entrance.

"Would you excuse me for a second?" Queen Luna said to the woman sitting beside her with whom she was having a conversation.

"Well, well, look at that. You made it. I suppose you're here to apologize," Queen Luna said.

"Apologize? Oh my god, are you serious?" Stella said with a confused face.

"Well, I should sure hope so, considering I just saved the whole Otherworld from a villain. And to think you were almost going to ruin my plan because of your 'kindness'," Queen said.

"I'd choose that over what you did any day," Stella said.

"One day you'll realize that everything I do is for the betterment of this kingdom," Queen Luna said.

"I do know that, Mom. I just hate your way of doing it. I hate how you do it, no matter what the end result is. You don't even care about hurting your own daughter in the process as long as it gets the job done," Stella said.

"Oh, please. You're old enough to take care of your feelings. You're not a little girl," Queen said.

"You know that's not what I meant," Stella replied.

"Listen to me, Stella. The things I do and the way I do those things are the only way to get a job done," Queen said.

"No, Mom, that's where you're wrong. Your ways of doing things didn't help us beat the Burned Ones, did they? No, a student from Alfea did that. And did your methods help us against Sebastian? I finally realized something, Mom. Me and my friends are more than capable of protecting ourselves. We don't need your help. I don't need your help. The only reason I'm here is to tell you that you were right. I will always choose my friends over my royal duties, and frankly, I would choose them over being your daughter as well. So, next time, please don't go through the trouble of getting me an invitation to one of your royal events," Stella said. Her words left Queen Luna in such shock that she had no reply as her daughter walked out of the castle

RISE OF DARKNESS

Bloom returned to the frozen forest, handing over the other two Codex to the shadow, bringing their total to four. Only one more remained, rumored to be in Andros.

"I'm too tired for today," Bloom declared. She wasn't going to Andros that day. With two Codex secured, neither the shadow nor her mother could pressure her into going. The shadow was thrilled with the prospect of having four Codex in their possession, needing just one more to free Valtor. Meanwhile, Marion was still reeling from the shocking news of Ogron's death.

Bloom went to another room of the frozen palace, which was more akin to an abandoned mansion than a palace. There, she received a message from Sky, asking to meet him in Gardenia, Bloom's home city. Curious about what he wanted to say, Bloom felt a tug in her heart, knowing she had to see Sky. So, without anyone noticing, she slipped away to meet him.

Marion was curious as to where Bloom is so she started searching for her, in doing so she went to the room where Isobel was supposed to be captured inside but Isobel had escaped, the ropes which were bound to her were all frozen and broken, Isobel had escaped and was no where in the frozen palace.

GARDENIA

"Gardenia," Bloom said as she reached the familiar city and saw Sky standing near a plant shop with his back turned.

"I was surprised at getting your text. I assume the shadow's spell is over?" she continued.

"Yeah, it is," Sky replied, turning to face Bloom.

"Gardenia, really? Why did you want to meet me here?" Bloom asked. "And more importantly, why did you want to meet me at all? Shouldn't you be scared of me?" she added, moving a bit closer to Sky.

"I could never be scared of you, Bloom. I love you, the good and the bad," Sky said sincerely.

"Oh really? So you're just going to accept this new me? Because if that's the case, I'd love having a partner," Bloom said, teasingly.

Sky's plan was working. Clearly, Bloom still had a soft side for the love of her life. No matter how dark she was, her love and her feelings were stronger than a darkness mark.

"I will always choose your side, Bloom," Sky affirmed.

"Prove it," Bloom replied, leaning in for a kiss.

"Now, Musa!" Sky suddenly yelled, just as they were about to kiss.

"What the hell-" Bloom turned around in a rush to see Musa emerging from a bush and casting a spell on Bloom in such a short time that Bloom couldn't even fight back. Musa had already entered Bloom's mind.

"Are you ready? Hold my hand," Musa said to Sky.

"You sure this is going to work?" Sky asked.

"Let's hope so, because we need Bloom back, the real Bloom," Musa said with determination.

Sky held Musa's hand, and she enabled her magic so Sky could also enter Bloom's mind. It was time to expel the darkness and bring Bloom back!
