Fate The Winx Saga | Season 3 Episode 4 | Mind Games (1)

LYNPHEA

At the Lynphea Mystic Laboratory, Isobel was laid in a bed, with many tubes connected throughout her body. Every part of her was being scanned. Her bed was surrounded by all kinds of machines. She was being examined in this laboratory; it was all Queen Luna's instruction. She was determined to find the weaknesses of Winter fairies, and the only way to do that was to understand how their powers work and then to create something equally powerful to stop them. Queen Luna was well aware that a dark era was coming, and they must be prepared to face the many monsters that might return because of the return of snow in The Otherworld, although snow still hadn't reached anywhere else other than the Frozen Forest, but it was slowly spreading, and Queen Luna feared it wouldn't be long before it reached Solaria, and then whoever was residing inside the forest would come for everyone in Solaria. At that time, Solarian's must be strong enough to fight back and defend themselves. Winter powers are amplified in Snow; that's why Queen Luna can never let the snow from the Frozen Forest reach Solaria or else it could mean the return of the Frozen Ages.

At the laboratory, a woman was working on determining Isobel's powers; she was a high-reputed professor in Lynphea. She was deeply concentrated on her work when suddenly the door opened. A girl entered.

"You asked for me, Professor," she said and closed the door. The professor was still busy making a potion. The girl noticed that.

"I thought we already found out everything we needed to know about Isobel. What are you working on now?" the girl asked.

"We can never know enough, and what I'm doing is none of your business. I called you here for a reason. I'm making potion 315, and I need the Exprestice Roots for it. Please bring them to me from section 2B in the basement," the Professor said.

The girl acknowledged and went to the basement. She reached Section 2. It had all sorts of magical objects labeled in alphabets. The place of "B" where the Exprestice Roots were supposed to be was surprisingly empty.

"That's weird," the girl thought. Suddenly the lights went out. Not just of the basement but of the whole building. All the devices connected to Isobel were also turned off; apparently, the electricity was out, which was very odd considering it's supplied by magic. Suddenly the girl felt as if someone just walked behind her. When she looked around, she saw a little shadow of someone behind the shelf.

"Hello, is someone there?" the girl said. The shadow disappeared, but the girl followed it. There was a man standing in a corner of the dark basement.

"Who are you?" the girl said with a frightened voice. Suddenly the man came to light and attacked her.

The professor back in the room with Isobel heard the scream of the girl. She knew instantly something was wrong. She went outside to see.

Suddenly there was chaos everywhere. Everyone was screaming and running. At first, the professor couldn't figure out what was wrong, but then suddenly she saw a doctor being killed in front of her by a man walking up through stairs. The professor knew there was a killer in the laboratory.

She rushed back to her room with Isobel inside and locked the door. But the man reached the room and started to push the door. He used his magic to break it open. Thankfully the professor successfully hid under the bed which Isobel was lying on. The man took Isobel; apparently, that was his goal all along. Just as he was about to leave through the portal he created, the professor was able to take a look at his face. She couldn't believe her eyes.

It was Ogron!

An ancient evil that was supposed to be killed years ago. She had only seen his paintings in old books of legends. Apparently, he was back! And now everyone knows.

SHADOW'S MIND

Beatrix and Sky were fighting the zombie monsters that had managed to reach the roof of the tower they were hiding in. These creatures were slow when it came to climbing a tower, but both Sky and Beatrix had to remain alert whenever one reached the roof; they had to kill it before it could reach them.

They couldn't stay here like this forever. The monsters were too numerous; the whole dimension was filled with these monsters.

Sky and Beatrix had to find a way out of here before they tired themselves to death. It was an endless army of monsters after them. The monsters were slow, no doubt, but it was only a matter of time before Beatrix's powers ran out, or Sky couldn't fight properly, and the monsters overwhelmed them. But there was no other way out either.

Both Beatrix and Sky couldn't help but wonder if this was the end.

Suddenly, two more monsters reached the top. Both Sky and Beatrix started to fight them side by side.

"I'm sorry, you know," Sky said to Beatrix while putting his sword through the monster at the same time.

"For what?" Beatrix asked while casting a spell to electrify the monster.

"For killing Andreas. I know he was like a father to you," Sky said, turning to Beatrix because the monsters were now dead.

"Well, it's fine, I suppose, considering he was just 'like a father' to me, whereas he was your actual father," Beatrix said.

"Well, he sure as hell never acted like it," Sky said.

"Yeah, sorry about that," Beatrix said.

They both could feel that the other one was about to lose hope when suddenly a light glowed.

It was Stella, Musa, and Riven!

"Where are we?" Stella said.

"I thought you said we were going to go inside Sky's mind or something," Riven asked.

"Yeah, we were. I don't know, maybe I did something wrong. Wait, let me try to concentrate on my magic again," Musa said.

"Riven?" Sky said.

Riven, Stella, and Musa looked behind them and saw Sky.

"Sky," Stella said and instantly went to hug him. As the hug ended, she opened her eyes and saw Beatrix behind him.

"Beatrix?" Stella said.

"Stella? Is it really you guys? I don't... I don't understand," Beatrix said with a confused look.

"I do. My magic worked; we are inside Sky's mind, inside the real Sky's mind, which is trapped here," Musa figured it out.

"What is here exactly?" Riven said.

"The shadow's mind; this is where the shadow keeps the souls of everyone he has ever possessed. That's why Sky and Beatrix are here, and I'm guessing Aisha was here too with you guys," Musa said.

"Yeah, she was," Sky said.

"Oh my god, so this is real," Beatrix said with a lot of hope in her eyes.

Stella instantly hugged her.

"I'm so sorry for everything," Beatrix said.

"Don't be; you saved us all that day, and now it's our time to save you, both of you," Stella said.

"How are we going to get out of here?" Sky asked.

"I have a plan. I haven't ever done it before, but I think I'm going to have to do a double mind spell," Musa said.

"And what does that mean exactly?" Sky said.

"I'm going to use the same spell again and further go inside both your minds, your memories," Musa said.

"And how will that help?" Beatrix asked.

"I know it's going to sound confusing, but your soul or part of it is still inside your memory, trapped in your memories; to be more precise. We need to find a strong memory of yours, and we need to reach it, strong enough so that you can break free of the shadow's spell. In other words, we need to make you remember yourselves again in your memories," Musa said.

"Yeah, that made no sense, but do it, anything to get out of here," Sky said.

"Okay, Stella and I will go inside your minds. Beatrix, are you ready?" Musa said.

"Can we try this thing on Sky first?" Beatrix said.

"Okay, come on, Sky," Musa said.

Musa used her magic and sent Stella inside Sky's mind. This time she didn't go herself; she had to stay here to control all the magic she's doing. Since she's doing a double mind spell, she must be the anchor to both sides, hence restraining herself from going inside. So it's all up to Stella to wake Sky up from the shadow's spell.

STONE CIRCLE

Bloom and Andy descended the stairs of the Stone Circle. Bloom's eyes widened as she spotted a beautiful, glowing sphere-shaped object, reminiscent of the other codix she had obtained.

"Is that...?" Bloom gasped in shock as she gazed upon the codex.

"The Alfean Codex, indeed it is," Andy confirmed.

"Is this some kind of joke?" Bloom questioned, her disbelief evident.

"What do you mean?" Andy replied, puzzled.

"Am I supposed to believe that this is the Alfean Codex, the most powerful object from the most prestigious school, just lying here in the middle of the Stone Circle, accessible to anyone? There's no one guarding it," Bloom observed skeptically.

"Or perhaps there was," Andy hinted.

Bloom began to understand his insinuation. She turned around to survey the area more closely and noticed several guards lying unconscious on the ground, bound up.

"Did you... do all this?" Bloom inquired, suspicion creeping into her voice.

"Who knows," Andy responded vaguely, avoiding a direct answer.

"Who exactly are you?" Bloom asked, her curiosity piqued, accompanied by an enigmatic smirk.

"Is that really what's important? The Alfean Codex is right in front of you, Bloom; claim it," Andy urged.

Bloom acknowledged his point and approached the codex, taking hold of it.

"Congratulations, you've secured the third piece," Andy congratulated her.

"How did you know I already have two codex?" Bloom queried.

"Oh, I know a lot of things. I also know you're heading to Melody next, and I want in," Andy declared. "In on what?" Bloom inquired.

"I want to accompany you to retrieve the Melodian Codex and the subsequent ones," Andy stated. "It's the least you could do, considering without me, you wouldn't have found the Alfean Codex."

"Fine, but not until you tell me the reason why first," Bloom insisted.

Andy stepped closer to her, a little too close for comfort.

"Why are you so eager to know? Is the Keeper of the Dragon Flame truly that afraid of me? Don't you enjoy a good mystery?" Andy teased, his words striking a chord with Bloom and convincing her to agree to let him accompany her to retrieve the Melodian Codex.

"I hope you handle portal travel well; try not to get sick," Bloom quipped as she opened a portal to Melody.

RISE OF DARKNESS

"Do you have any idea how reckless you were?" Marion exclaimed furiously at Ogron.

"I don't get what's wrong," Ogron retorted.

"What's wrong is that you've revealed your identity. Everyone now knows that you're back," Marion said, her anger palpable.

"So what? It changes nothing. No one can enter the Frozen Forest except Winter Fairies, remember? We are safe here until we have all the codex, by which we can free Valtor and make the whole Otherworld pay for the mistakes their so-called heroes made," Ogron argued.

"It doesn't matter whether they can enter it or not. Now they know you're back, they'll be more alert, more prepared," Marion countered.

"None of them scare me," Ogron dismissed.

"I am so furious with you right now, I can't even look at you," Marion seethed.

"I'm going to Melody to get the second-to-last Codex. Tell me when she wakes up," Ogron said, gesturing towards Isobel.

"Bloom is already on it. There's no need for you to go," Marion insisted.

"Bloom isn't even back yet with the Alfean Codex. I don't want to waste any more time sitting here. I'm going to get the codex on my own. The faster we free Valtor, the better," Ogron declared.

GREENHOUSE

"Dad, how much more is this going to take?" Terra asked her father, handing him the leaf he had requested.

Her dad poured the leaf into a beaker in which he was making the potion, the potion which could bring a person out from the shadow's grasp. They were making it for Sky and Beatrix in case Musa's plan failed.

"It's going to take a few more hours," Professor Harvey said.

Aisha, Terra, and Kat were all helping Professor Harvey with this potion when suddenly the door of the greenhouse cracked open with a loud noise and Flora stumbled in. She was barely walking, there was something wrong with her.

"Flora, oh my god, what happened?" Terra rushed to her aid.

Flora almost fell, but Terra caught her. Flora had scars all over her body, much worse than before. Somehow the scars had multiplied.

Terra rushed Flora to a bed, and Professor Harvey hurried towards her to examine her condition.

"I... I was..." Flora began to explain about her scars.

"It's alright, we know what happened. Riven told us," Terra said, then explained to her dad that the scrappers had done this to her.

"Oh my god, this is bad, this is really bad," Professor Harvey said.

"What do you mean, Dad? What's wrong with her?" Terra asked.

"If we don't fix her soon, she's at the risk..." Professor said but was too saddened to complete the sentence.

"At the risk of what?" Terra pressed.

"Of becoming a scrapper herself," Professor Harvey revealed.

Flora kept screaming; it was hurting her. Her scars were growing, not too fast, but they weren't slowing down either.

"Can you fix her?" Aisha asked.

"We're going to need a potion for that as well. I'll start working on it," Terra's dad rushed to make the potion, putting aside the other potion. Now saving Sky and Beatrix's lives was in Musa's and Stella's hands.
