Fate The Winx Saga | Season 3 Episode 1 | Listen to my Voice (3)
FIRE
There was complete darkness everywhere. The last thing I remember is that I was eaten - by a tree apparently, but what happened? I wasn't inside a tree anymore. Where was I? I got up and looked around. "Hello?", I yelled in hopes of knowing what's happening. I started walking, but there was nothing but darkness. It was awful. I had never felt like this. It was complete loneliness. "Mom? Are you there? Mom!". I was scared. I didn't know what to do. I tried enabling my magic and started a fire in my hand to get some light, but it did nothing. There was still just darkness all around it. So, I disabled my magic and started walking again. I kept on screaming my mom's name. I was starting to get very scared; I had never felt this way. This - this alone. It was like I was about to have a little panic attack but didn't because I heard a voice. It was my mom. She heard me. "Bloom, it's okay, listen to my voice". Her voice gave me comfort. "This is all an illusion, Bloom; you need to remember that, concentrate on something else, the dark magic of this land is creating all this in your mind, close your eyes and think of something else, clear your thoughts, it's all in your head, and you are the only one who can get out of it". I did what she said. Closed my eyes. I tried thinking of Alfea, my friends, Sky, but all of that just led me back to thinking of this place and how I'm doing all this to help them. "It's not working", I said. "Okay then listen to my voice, there's something I have to tell you", my mom said. "Okay", I replied. "You asked me why I never left this place, I never initially wanted to leave, but I wanted to come back, but I was waiting, waiting for you, I had put you in stasis for a thousand years to save you from Valtor, he was going to kill you". Now this was surely enough to grab my attention. I kept on listening.
"I was watching you, I have been watching you, Bloom, since the day you were born; I was always watching you. I watched you in stasis then you got out, I wanted to visit you so badly, but as I told you, I was weak, I can't create any portals anymore, it was impossible for me to get to you".
"Wait, but how were you watching me?", I asked.
"The place that I told you about, the one that lies in the centre of the forest, it's a tower, it's extremely powerful for a reason; it's because that tower holds the power source of this entire realm. The magic holding this place together is in that tower, which helps me to access the Otherworld and Earth. I am not strong enough to fully leave this realm, but I can send my soul to another realm through that power source by channeling it, and that's what I used to do; that's how I watched over you. Unfortunately, I was never able to touch you or even speak to you, but I was there, I couldn't be there forever cause I had to go back to the safe zone of this realm of darkness and the dark forest was always hard to cross but I was there for many moments of your life", my mom started tearing up while telling me all this. Tears started coming out of my eyes too; I still had them closed. "I don't - I don't understand, how could you have always been there", I said with a breaking voice. "That night when you first discovered your powers, I was there then as well; I know about how you lost control when you got mad", my mom said. "Oh my god", is what I said. I opened my eyes, and the darkness was gone. I was once again in the forest with my mother beside me; I was out of the illusions. "You're the one - you're the one who saved us that day, aren't you"?
She nodded. I remember that day; that is the one day that no matter how hard I try but unfortunately, I will not be able to forget. I set the fire without realizing it, nearly burnt down our house. I only realized what I had done when I heard my parents screams; I went to their room, and it was on fire. I somehow managed to get to my mom, who had fainted, my dad was holding onto her. The fire just kept increasing more and more; there was no escape for us, we were trapped in that room. I thought we were all going to die, but then something happened. I saw it with my own eyes, a passage was created. I told my father, and we all got out. I used to think I created the passage just like how I created the fire. But I didn't because I know what magic feels like, and that wasn't it, it was different, I was always confused by what happened that day, never wanted to piece it all together cause I just kept on wanting to forget that day ever happened even after I learned how to control my powers, but now that I think of it, it really was someone else who saved us. Apparently, it was my biological mother. The moment just did something to me, and I hugged her. I felt relief when she hugged me back. "Look, we made it", she said while pointing out to the tower. Apparently, when I was running through the darkness, it was just an illusion, and I was, in fact, in the forest. Glad that's over though. I just want to go back.
WATER
Stella told us everything that happened and that we must rescue Isobel from the Solarian palace and we were more than willing to help her. We made our way towards the Solarian palace, and it was evident that Stella's determination to rescue Isobel was a lot. This mission meant the world to her, and I couldn't help but feel proud of how much she had grown since our first meeting. She had transformed into a more powerful and confident individual, and I cherished calling her my friend. As we reached the prison's exterior, Stella, being the princess of Solaria, demanded entry. However, the guards refused, citing orders from the Queen to keep her out. Undeterred, we refused to back down. Although Stella was frustrated with her mother's actions, we understood that her interference in the Queen's plans would be met with resistance. Stella had been honing her magical skills, and it was evident that she had become significantly stronger. After Miss Dowling's and Rosalind's rigorous teachings, Stella decided to take matters into her own hands and learn more about Light fairies. This independent approach to learning had amplified her powers, and we were genuinely impressed. Stella had mastered the art of invisibility and even had the ability to extend it to others. Witnessing her perform the spell flawlessly was awe-inspiring. The invisibility allowed us to navigate past the guards undetected as we entered the prison. With uncertainty surrounding the spell's duration, we knew we had to act swiftly. We separated and scoured the premises to locate Isobel, but our searches proved fruitless. The inability to communicate our findings added to the challenge, as we couldn't see each other. Suddenly, my attention was drawn to a group of guards escorting a young girl. It must be Isobel, matching Stella's description - a young girl with striking white hair. My focus shifted to the urgency of rescuing her. Grateful that the invisibility spell was still effective, I moved closer to Isobel, determined to act swiftly. Employing my water magic, I conjured water on the floor, causing the guards to nearly slip. Although it wasn't enough to divert their attention completely, it did succeed in capturing their focus. I persisted, gradually increasing the water's presence to confuse them further. The guards soon recognized the disturbance and armed themselves with swords, distracted by the mysterious occurrence.
EARTH
The guards were distracted because of the water, clearly this was Aisha's doing. Thank you, Aisha, for distracting them. This gives me the perfect opportunity to help Isobel. I got closer to her. I had to speak slowly so guards wouldn't hear... "Isobel," I started calling her name and asked her to follow me without making a noise, assuring her that I'm here to help. At first, she was startled, but not scared, which I found a bit odd. Nevertheless, she understood quickly and without giving much reaction, she started following me. The guards noticed and were about to capture her again, so I told her to run, and she started sprinting. The guards would have followed her, but suddenly a huge blast of light hit their eyes - no doubt it was Stella who did it. With Stella and Aisha taking care of the guards, I went behind Isobel to assist her. Unfortunately, the screams of the guards alerted others at the door as well.
Isobel was about to get out when those guards crossed their swords and blocked the exit. It was time for me to show some action. I used my nature powers and called upon the plants. They started to grow and grabbed the guards by the feet, knocking them down. Isobel saw this and walked outside the door, but suddenly, the Queen appeared with many other guards. There was no way we could beat them all. Maybe we could have, but unfortunately, Stella's magic also ended. This wasn't a coincidence; magic is always bound by emotions. I don't know what kind of emotion Stella felt when she saw her mom, but it was enough to end her magic. Holding on to that spell for as long as she did was pretty impressive, as making others invisible is not easy for light fairies, or at least that's what I'm told. I wouldn't know myself.
LIGHT
The invisibility spell wore off, and we found ourselves visible again. In front of us stood my mom, her face revealing clear judgment. She ordered the guards to take Isobel to her prison, and they obeyed without hesitation. Then, she turned her attention back to the guards at the door. She reprimanded them for not keeping me out of the prison, reminding them of her orders. They attempted to defend themselves, claiming ignorance of how I got in. But my mom saw through their excuses. Witnessing our visibility had revealed my use of the forbidden invisibility spell.
Her disappointment struck me deeply. Last year, she had put a device on me to prevent me from using that very magic. And now, I had not only used it again but also betrayed her by attempting to free a prisoner.
"Now, as for you, do you have any idea how much you disobeyed me today, using the ring to make a portal in your room, betraying me and trying to free a prisoner, and using forbidden magic, I have no words which can express how disappointed I am", she said.
She was disappointed? Please this must be a joke. How dare she. She was the one who used me to get to Isobel in the first place and I had to betray someone to do that, how dare she make me the bad guy now. I was happy about one thing though, I don't know how or why but my mom only said this to me and left, I was so sure that she would punish me but she didn't. I think I know the reason. Earlier today when those guards told my mom about winter coming to the Otherworld thing, she was extremely scared, I think she's still too distracted by all that to focus on punishing me. But why does she want Isobel, could it be related to the whole winter thing. Why can't she ever just tell me something. If she's hiding it then there must be a reason and as far as I know her, it must not be a good one. I need to save Isobel from her no matter what.
MIND
My dad led me to the golden auditorium, ofcourse this was the place he was taking me. Memories flooded back-this place held a special meaning to me. It was just a 10-minute drive from our home, and here, I had learned the art of dance. The trophy from an international competition at the age of 13 still adorned the showcase, a reminder of one of the proudest moments of my life. My mom and dad were overjoyed by my success, and it had always been a cherished memory. But now, the thought of dancing without my mom felt like a void, making me abandon my passion. Instead, I chose to attend Alfea and now I have decided to become a specialist, a decision my father did not seem to approve of.
Stepping inside the golden auditorium, we were greeted by Miss Galatea, the headmaster of this dance school, and an old friend of my mom's. She had been a guiding figure since my childhood. As we settled into her office, she delicately touched upon my decision, which my father had already informed her about. She asked about life at Alfea, but I chose to avoid discussing my recent choices.
Soon, Miss Galatea led me to a closed door in the school-a door I had always been curious about but never allowed to enter. Today, it was different. Today, she revealed the truth behind this mysterious door. She explained that it led to the echo caves, a place shrouded in legends and tales. The caves were known for their potent powers-voices echoing in certain places, hence the name.
I listened attentively as she described the legends surrounding the echo caves. The tales spoke of a test for those who ventured through this door-a chance to fulfil their heart's desires, even if they were not yet aware of what they truly sought. A puzzled expression crossed my face, wondering how it related to me.
Miss Galatea's voice was gentle as she revealed the significance, "Musa, you must go through here. It will guide you to your true self, whether that be a fairy or a specialist. The legends might be fantastical, but the essence of self-discovery holds true. Trust me, it can guide you to your path."
As I contemplated her words, I realized that I did trust her. She had been there for me throughout my life, and if she believed in this journey of self-discovery, then I would embrace it. With a resolute nod, I prepared to step through the door.
My curiosity couldn't help but ask one more question. "If this is truly powerful, why is it not well-known or utilized more often?"
Miss Galatea's response was solemn and cautious, "These caves hold ancient magic, and the fewer people who know about it, the better. Ancient magics like these can be dangerous in the wrong hands. Ancient magic is nearly extinct in this era, and there are good reasons to keep certain powers concealed."
My thoughts wandered to the hidden power of the Dragon Flame, a dangerous force that brought chaos when it resurfaced. However, I pushed those thoughts aside, focusing on the present. Trusting Miss Galatea, I took a deep breath and stepped through the door, ready to face the mysterious echoes of the echo caves, and whatever destiny awaited me beyond.
HEART GROWS OLD
At the end of another day at Alfea, Saul Silva began to tidy up as the students started to make their way back to their respective dorms. As a teacher, Saul now lived in the teachers' apartments situated at the back end of Alfea, because his house was burned down by Andreas. However, before returning to his own flat, he went to the headmaster's office.
Inside the office, he found Queen Luna waiting for him, though not physically present. Instead, she appeared as a hologram, a projection of herself transmitted through a combination of magic and technology.
"You asked for me," Silva acknowledged.
"Yes," the Queen responded, "I want you to make an announcement tomorrow. Alfea will be welcoming a new headmaster, and he shall be joining us starting this Friday. Classes will continue next week to give the students enough time to return to Alfea, especially for those who were not currently staying on campus."
"Of course, Your Majesty," Silva replied.
The holographic call concluded, and as Silva prepared to leave, he noticed a frame on the desk, containing a picture of Farah. It was taken down last year by Rosalind, but after Rosalind's demise, someone had once again hung Miss Farah's frame. Farah, the best headmaster the school had ever known, was dearly missed. Silva gazed at the picture for a moment, a single tear escaping his eye, but he quickly composed himself. Taking a deep breath, he approached the door and left the room, carrying both the weight of duty and the memories of the beloved headmaster in his heart.
WINX
In an old warehouse, near Alfea, Stella anxiously waited for her friends to arrive. She had sent them a text, summoning them to this location.
Terra, Aisha, and Sky soon gathered around her, their faces filled with confusion and curiosity.
"The reason I called you all here is because I need your help," Stella said.
"What kind of help do you need, Stella?" Sky inquired.
Stella proceeded to explain the entire situation about Isobel and her imprisonment, sharing her determination to rescue her friend.
"But how are we even supposed to do that? Your mom must have increased security at Solarian prison," Aisha expressed her concern.
"Yes, she probably has, but that won't stop us. You see, Isobel won't be at the Solarian palace for long. They are planning to take her to Eraklyon," Stella revealed.
"Eraklyon? But why would they do that?" Sky questioned.
"I don't know the reason behind it, but I do know that I need to rescue her. So, who's with me?" Stella asked.
Everyone exchanged glances with each other, knowing their answer, and unanimously agreed to support Stella in her quest.
Stella used her magic ring to unlock the warehouse door, it also served as a portal, it was the one Bloom had used before when she first got to Alfea. Stella was much determined and was ready to save Isobel.
